my video is about the earthquake that hit haiti January 12th. it was the worst earthquake in 200 years 7.0 in magnitude - struck less than ten miles from the Caribbean city of Port-au-Prince.

As many as one million people have been made homeless and more than three million have been affected by the earthquake that struck Haiti on January 12th. many children are homeless and separated from their families. the IRC’s team of caseworkers is working to keep these children safe and taken care of while doing everything possible to find their relatives and reunite families.On Tuesday, Haiti was hit by its strongest earthquake in more than 200 years, causing major catastrophe. One day after this massive 7.0 magnitude earthquake rocked the Caribbean nation of Haiti there are still no stats on casualties. major earthquake struck southern Haiti on Tuesday, knocking down buildings and power lines and inflicting what its ambassador to the United States called a catastrophe for the Western Hemisphere's poorest nation.Several eyewitnesses reported heavy damage and bodies in the streets of the capital, Port-au-Prince, where concrete block homes line steep hillsides. There was no estimate of the dead and wounded Tuesday evening, but the U.S. State Department has been told to expect serious loss of life

this video is about ireland and my culture. I love my culture because it makes up who i am and where i come from. i hope people get a good idea of my holidays and background in my hometown.

my name is Carol Hogan. my topic is about ireland . the things i like about ireland are
seeing my family
food
friends
land
stores
animals
when i go to ireland i like to spend alot of time with them because i dont see them alot so we go on trips and i see all of my family when i go there. grew up there so i have friends there. i am still with them now. i talk to them on bebo and facebook. so i can still talk to them and keeps in touch. sometimes they go over to my moms house to talk to me. my mom calls me a few times a week. the food in ireland is different there then here. i like the food in ireland they make alot of patato there. they have really good ice cream there. in ireland i hang out with my friends alot. they call my house when im there all the time. when i was in ireland i had a sleep over every day. there is alot of land in ireland. and it is reallly green. i have alot of land there. it is really green and it rains alot. the stores and clothes are different there then here. they have different animals in ireland they have sheep, horses, cows, in ireland my favorite animal is sheep.

The Graduate Portfolio is a guideline used by CSI high school students to help become successful graduates and accomplish as much as possible. It includes a collection of work from each class and helps identify strengths and weaknesses. It has helped me realize what I need to work on as well as the improvements I have made. I have learned that I need to work better in groups and collaborate. I also have to participate more often in all my classes and study for tests. I realized I am doing better in class and getting my work done. I am slowly improving my participation and feeling more comfortable doing projects and homework. The graduate portfolio has helped me learn about the way I learn best and what study habits I am following. I am writing two essays for the portfolio about how I am becoming prepared to graduate and becoming more aware of world events and global dynamics. This class in particular has helped me because I am learning about other places around the world through the internet. This is making me an effective user of technology and literate for the 21t century.
